# TTL (Time-to-live)

In reference to the CDN, TTL (time to live) is the amount of time an object is cached. The cache system takes different factors into account to determine the lifetime of an object. Correctly configuring these parameters will guarantee the cache works correctly, avoiding unnecessary use of resources and ensuring an optimal user experience.
