# Prefetching Cache

The prefetching cache function enables you to request content to be loaded to all edge node caches automatically, and it "warms up" the cache with the requested URLs.

Our dashboard allows you to prefetch for a given resource, i.e., you cache the content on your nodes so that it is immediately available to your clients without having to make the request to the source.

#### From our dashboard

Log in to our dashboard and go to:

Prefetching cache -> New prefetch

Enter the list of URLs you want to prefetch and click on "Prefetch".

#### Using our API

Create a POST request to

`/v1/companies/{company_id}/prefetch/`

The body must contain a key named "urls", for example:

```
{
  "urls": [
    "https://www.example.com/image.jpg",
    "https://www.example.com/style.css"
  ]
}
```

In case of doubts, please reference our [API documentation](https://api.transparentcdn.com/docs).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.transparentedge.eu/getting-started/dashboard/prefetch.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
